Welcome to the website of the North Central Pennsylvania Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association. The NCPB was formed in 2000 by people who embraced the values of the QDMA. During the past years, the NCPB has been dedicated to promoting the objectives of QDM. We have sponsored events in order to educate the public on all aspects of deer management. We are committed to continuing this type of education in North Central Pennsylvania. Contact us by Email at ncpbqdma@hotmail.com  See link at bottom of page.

The Purpose of Deer Management

Whether or not you hunt, deer management has an impact on all of us. Deer greatly affect all aspects of the environment, which is not limited to just forests. They have an influence on the local agriculture and the public as well. A well-managed deer population is not only beneficial to the herd but also to their environment and hunters alike. To manage deer properly, we must understand the connection between the deer and their habitat. This is developed through education. Our goal is to provide this education to the public on all aspects of deer management, such as breeding ecology, antlerless harvest, fawn survival, habitat management and much more. We will continue to sponsor events to provide this information.

The NCPB is willing to provide seminars for any club or organization that would be interested in learning more about QDM and deer themselves. Please click on the "EMail NCPB" link to the right to contact us.
